Who is CompTIA?
CompTIA is the non-profit association advancing the global interests of information technology (IT) professionals and companies including manufacturers, distributors, resellers, and educational institutions.

What is Server+ ?
CompTIA Server+ certification validates knowledge of server issues and technology, including disaster recovery. It is a vendor neutral certification that proves knowledge of server hardware and software.

Server+ is CompTIA's certification that focuses on server-specific hardware and operating systems, and certifies technical knowledge in areas such as RAID, SCSI, and multiple CPUs, as well as capabilities with server issues, including disaster recovery. It was developed in 2001, with updates that followed in 2005 and 2009. The eight main topics of the Server+ exam are General Server Hardware Knowledge, Installation, Configuration, Upgrading, Proactive Maintenance, Environment Troubleshooting and Problem Determination, and Disaster Recovery.

CompTIA Server+ is an international, certification for technical support professionals with 18 to 24 months of IT experience. Although not a prerequisite, it is recommended have 12 to 24 months experience in server technology, along with a CompTIA A+ certification.

How many exams do candidates need to pass to earn Server+ Certification?
There is just one exam for Server+, exam code SK0-003.
